  • Welcome to our School!

Welcome to St. John the Baptist School’s website. We have designed it to provide as much information as possible about our school and I hope that you will find it helpful. However if there is any further information that you need,  please contact us, we will be happy to help. We are proud of our school and every child and adult involved with St. John’s is important. This was recognised by OFSTED inspectors who also praised the school for having high standards.

    Ethos

    Mission Statement

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice

It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils

To provide a well-structured and managed policy for spiritual, moral social and cultural development

The Church school should make it very clear that the Christian ethos of the school infuses the whole of the school curriculum and school life

We strive to ensure our pupils will:

    Be safe

    Be healthy and happy

    Enjoy learning

    Achieve success

Be able to contribute to their school and society

Be prepared for a life in the 21st century

    School Aims

To allow each individual to develop their potential and to do this within a caring, happy and respectful community

To provide an atmosphere within school which encourages a commitment to learning, where high standards of behaviour and effort are expected

To develop mutual respect between children, adults, the community and the environment

To recognise and act upon health and safety, individual security and equal opportunity issues to the benefit of all members of the school community

To continue to make our school a stimulating and successful place for all

To develop a child’s responsibility, decision making and independence

To encourage parents/carers and the wider community to support children’s learning

To provide each child with a broad curriculum, and encourage them to flourish

    WHERE EVERY CHILD MATTERS
